District 15 Provides Details on New Early Release Schedule
The new early release schedule will begin on Jan. 31.
The new schedule will mean school wills start five minutes earlier and get out five minutes later Monday through Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune. On Friday, school will begin five minutes later and will get out fifty minutes earlier than the Monday through Thursday schedule, according to the article.

Under the new schedule, C.A.R.E. will be available at the end of the school day on Fridays for those currently enrolled in the program, according to the news release.
As for new bus route times, parents should expect to get more information the first week of January, according to the press release.

For the purpose of advance planning, all before-school bus routes should typically begin five minutes earlier than the current route schedule. After school routes for Monday through Thursday will begin five minutes later than the current times while after school routes on Fridays will begin 45 minutes earlier than the current schedule, according to the press release.
As for student lunches, schools will be sending out information on time changes on Nov. 11. Junior high schools will be sending out times for class periods sometime around Nov. 15, according to the press release.
