Island Lake ... that little village between Crystal Lake and Wauconda ... is hosting a BIG show.
July 27th Island Lake will host it's Island Lake Fest starting at 2 pm. The days attractions will include "Touch-a-Truck" where kids can climb on and take photos on large farm equipment, a classic car show featuring cool rides from the 40s to the 70s, a bounce house for kids to play in, a large slide for the kids and kids at heart, a dunk tank to get back your "favorite" politician or police officer, and many other fun things (Life Flight may even land at the event pending no real emergency) and the day's events will be capped off with a fireworks show at dusk.
