Village of Palatine Warns of Bogus Calls from Electricity Suppliers

Residents who participate in the electrical aggregation program should beware of unsolicited calls from electrical suppliers claiming to be affiliated with the Village of Palatine.

The Village of Palatine is warning customers who are part of the electrical aggregation program to beware of unsolicited phone calls from electricity suppliers claiming to be affiliated with the village, according to the Village of Palatine website.

Residents who are part of the program receive electrical power though Integrys Energy Services, and are advised to ignore such calls.

In 2012, Palatine residents overwhelmingly approved a referendum that authorized the Village of Palatine to negotiate lower electricity rates for residents and small business.
