Palatine Village Council Oath of Office Tonight for New, Returning Elected Officials

District 1 Councilman Aaron Del Mar chose not to run for reelection, and District 15 Board President Tim Millar ran unopposed for his seat. Mayor Jim Schwantz, Clerk Marg Duer and Councilmen Brad Helms and Greg Solberg all ran unopposed.

Oaths of office are planned at tonight's Palatine Village Council meeting for four incumbents, in addition to one new councilman who were elected in the April 9 election. 

And, retiring District 1 Councilman Aaron Del Mar will be formally recognized for his contributions to the Village of Palatine. Del Mar chose not to run again for his seat after serving one term. 

Current District 15 Board President Tim Millar ran unopposed for the District 1 council seat, and will be sworn in as the newest member on the council.
