Palatine To Consider New Restaurant: Thunder Alley

The Palatine Village Council will consider a proposal for a new restaurant as part of the City Limits Harley Davidson development.

The Palatine Village Council is expected at its meeting Monday, Aug. 15 to consider plans for a new restaurant at 2001 N. Rand Rd.

Thunder Alley would be a motorcycle themed restaurant in the Verde Plaza shopping center, located adjacent to the City Limits Harley Davidson dealership, according to village documents.

The restaurant would have seating for 143. Thunder Alley would be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday to Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Thunder Alley's owners are asking for a live entertainment permit to allow for bands. The restaurant's menu would include chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches and salads.

The business will need a variation related to parking. Village documents, however, note that the restaurant would be able to share parking with the adjacent Harley Davidson dealership which has more parking than is required by Palatine.

On Aug. 9 the Palatine Zoning Board of Appeals recommended the project by a 6 to 1 vote.
