Metra Board Members, Including Former Arlington Heights Mayor, Pressured to Resign

Four Cook County commissioners want the resignation of the remaining three Metra board members, the Daily Herald reports.

Cook County commissioners want the resignation of the remaining three Metra board members, after a $718,000 severance package was given to the former Metra CEO Alex Clifford, the Daily Herald reports.

Former Arlington Heights Mayor Arlene Mulder, along with William Widmer and Don De Graff represent Cook County on the Metra board.

The commissioners say, according to the paper, the public has no confidence in the three - because they did not vote to purchase liability insurance that could have stopped Clifford's nearly three-quarter million payout.

Reboot Illinois publishes the audit of the severance package.
