League of Women Voters to Tackle Government Spending

The League of Women Voters of the Palatine area will hold a public discussion on government spending April 28.

The League of Women Voters of the Palatine area will host a public discussion on government spending April 28 at  7 p.m. at the Palatine Village Hall, 200 E. Wood St.

The league will invite discussion on subjects such as when government spending is good, when it is bad, when the government should get involved in an issue and when it should not, state Martha Stamper, a member of the league's publicity committee.

The public is welcome to come and express their opinions while also being prepared to listen to the views of others. The press release state that the League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area is providing this discussion as a public service to the community. The league is dedicated to promoting civil political discussion to engage and educate voters, and to strengthen democracy.
