Kozlowski Sworn in to Palatine Village Council

Kollin Kozlowski was sworn in this week as District 5 council member.

Kollin Kozlowski was sworn in as District 5 Village Council member Monday.

Kozlowski defeated Jack Wagner in the April 5 election. Wagner had served on the council for 24 years. Wagner was at a meeting in April.

Kozlowski said he had spent the last two weeks working with Village Manager Reid Ottesen and other staff members getting up to speed.

"I've really dived into a lot of stuff," Kozlowski said. "I really feel like I'm arriving with a good knowledge about what's going on."

Kozlowski said that the transition has gone well and that Wagner also had been helpful.

Kozlowski will chair the village's Technology and Community Health Committee.

Other committee assignments include Scott Lamerand chairing Business Finance and Budget, Brad Helms chairing Community and Economic Development, Greg Solberg chairing Fire Policy and Community Information, Jim Clegg chairing Infrastructure and Environment, and Aaron Del Mar chairing Police Policy and Code Services.
