Palatine Township residents can now file an appeal to the assessed value of their property with the Cook County Assessor.  Township Residents will have until Monday, August 29th to file their appeal. The most common appeal is lack of uniformity where you believe your property’s value is over assessed in comparison to similar properties.

Even if you filed a recent appeal with the Board of Review in 2010, and even if you received a reduction, you can still file an appeal with the County Assessor in 2011 if you think your property is over assessed

The Palatine Township Assessor’s Office has all the forms needed. We will be happy to assist in filing your appeal.  The Township Assessor’s Office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  We are also open on Saturdays from 8:30 to Noon.  Reducing the assessed value of your property can result in significant property tax savings.

Call us at 847-358-6164 with any questions.  We look forward to helping you reduce your taxes.
