Congressman Walsh Coming to Palatine: Townhall At Harper

Congressman Joe Walsh, R-McHenry, will continue his "Ten Town Halls in Ten Days Tour" Monday, Aug. 8 with a stop in Palatine at .

The town hall will be held at 7 p.m. in the Wojcik Conference Center in building W. Harper officials said it is best to use the college's Roselle Road entrance to get to building W.

The tour comes after media reports that Walsh owes his . Walsh, who is serving his first term in Congress, represents the 8th district which includes most of Palatine.

The purpose of the town hall tour, according to a press release, will be to answer any questions or concerns about federal legislation. 

“I was sent to Washington to represent the people of the 8th District of Illinois, and it’s critical that I spend as much time as possible back home to hear what they have to say,” Walsh state in the press release.

The child support issue at Walsh's first town hall last week.

There also was discussion of Walsh's vote against raising the debt ceiling. Congress did raise the debt limit, avoiding a default by the nation on its obligations.
