$900,000 in Renovations at Palatine Library to Begin This Month

Construction is expected to start later this month, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The main branch of Palatine Public Library will soon undergo $900,000 in renovations with construction slated to start later this month, The Chicago Tribune reports. 

The renovations will include the addition of digital media labs, which will be equipped with iMac computers, cameras and microphones, and the consolidation of the children's collections to one floor, according to the Tribune.

This will be the first renovation at the library, located at 700 N. North Court,  since it opened in 1993, according to the article.

The Palatine Library Districtserves over 90,000 patrons residing primarily in Palatine and north Hoffman Estates, according to the library's website.
