UPDATED: Fire Breaks Out at Palatine Apartment Building Friday

More than a dozen emergency vehicles are on the scene at 516 N. Wilke; both floors reportedly were ablaze, and a hook and ladder was used to reach the second floor of the apartment building.

No injuries are being reported after a fire broke out at the Lake Louise Apartment, 516 N. Wilke Rd. on Friday night. 

Just after 8:30 p.m. the Palatine Fire Department called a box alarm to receive aid from neighboring departments, after fire was reported to be heavy at the front door of the building, according to the Arlington Cardinal.

Details are still forthcoming, but more than a dozen emergency vehicles are currently on the scene at an apartment fire on the east edge of Palatine, where both floors of the building are ablaze.

A dispatch reported after 8:30 p.m. that a fire was currently underway at the apartment building located at 516 N. Wilke Rd. 

Just before 9 p.m., the dispatch reported stated that both floors of the building were on fire. 

A hook and ladder was visible on the second floor of the building at roughly 9:40 p.m. 

Fire department vehicles from Schaumburg, Rolling Meadows and Buffalo Grove, in addition to the Palatine Fire Department, remain at the scene.
