UPDATE: Fatal Crash Victim Identified

The Schaumburg woman killed Monday in a crash in Schaumburg has been identified as 77-year-old Matalda Gallo, according to the Daily Herald 

The crash occurred about 10:40 a.m. while Gallo was a passenger in a Chevy Malibu that was traveling east on Irving Park Road and was struck on the passenger's side by a Chevy Tahoe while turning left onto Mitchell Boulevard, according to the article. 

Two others were injured in the crash. An 82-year-old man, who was driving the Malibu, and a 78-year-old man, who was driving the Tahoe, both of Schaumburg, were both taken to Alexian Brothers for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to ABC7 Chicago. 

The intersection of Mitchell and Irving Park was closed until 4 p.m. as police investigated the crash, according to ABC 7 Chicago.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: One person was killed and two were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred near the intersection of Irving Park Road and Mitchell Boulevard in Schaumburg about 10:49 a.m. Monday, according to the Daily Herald.
