Search Warrant Leads to Felony Drug Bust in Palatine

A 20-year-old Palatine man has been charged with four drug-related felonies following a Palatine Police Department investigation.

The Palatine Police Department’s Uniformed Tactical Unit executed a search warrant on Dec. 13 stemming from an ongoing drug investigation at 826 W. Illinois Ave.

Christopher Huberty, 20, 826 W. Illinois Ave., Palatine, was arrested at the scene and charged with four felony counts, including unlawful delivery of cannabis, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of cannabis and one misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Palatine officers with the help of the department’s K-9 unit conducted the search of the residence and seized the following;

  • 72 grams of cannabis
  • 12 Concerta pills (schedule II drug)
  • 1 Adderall pill (schedule II drug)
  • $1,267 cash
  • Digital scale
  • Drug paraphernalia (5 glass smoking pipes & plastic baggies)

Huberty was taken to court for his bond hearing where he was held on a $5,000 D-bond. His next court date is scheduled for Dec. 17 at the 3rd District Courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
