Four Woman Arrested in Prostitution Sting

Brothers Charged With Beating Roommate

Crystal Lake Police  after they allegedly beat up a roommate.

Terry W. Brennan, of Spring Grove, and Timothy P. Brennan, of Carpentersville, on June 2 visited the apartment of their older brother, Edward, who lives at 215 Uteg St. - B, Crystal Lake.

Dogs From Cruelty Incident Up For Adoption

Three dogs taken into custody by police after are transitioning to new homes.

, and, told police, according to the report, he got into a fight with his dog because it ran out the front door, and he said, “I’m done being nice.”

A judge ordered the dogs to be surrendered to Des Plaines police animal control on June 19, and they have since been matched with a nonprofit rescue organization that specializes in small dogs, Chris’ Rescue Angels, based in Missouri.

The search for a new Chief of Police in Grayslake is over, as Mayor Rhett Taylor has announced he will recommend .

Craigslist Scam Investigated

A man living in the 7800 block of Oconto, Niles, .

On June 25, a buyer contacted the seller and said he would send a check in the amount of $2,180, and he asked that the seller refund the extra $1,180 to someone in Georgia. The seller's bank seized the check as counterfeit. Police are investigating.
