Police: Palatine Man Arrested After Selling Heroin to Undercover Cop

A Palatine man faces drug charges after police said he sold heroin to an undercover cop. 

Keith D. Williams, of the 1300 block of Turtle Creek Drive in Palatine, was arrested at 7 p.m. Wednesday and is charged with possession of a controlled substance, delivery of a controlled substance and resisting a police officer. 

Williams appeared in court Thursday in Rolling Meadows where a $100,000 bond was set.

Williams is accused of delivering heroin to an undercover police officer on March 18. 

A second controlled delivery was set up between Williams and the undercover cop for Wednesday and Williams met the officer in the 1000 block of West Lake Cook Road in Arlington Heights. Before a transaction could take place, officers identified themselves and told Williams he was under arrest, according to the news release.

When officers attempted to take Williams into custody on Wednesday, police said he fled the area but was caught a short time later, according to a Palatine Police Department press release. Police found heroin and marijuana on Williams at the time of his arrest, according to the news release. 

Williams is next expected in court on April 25.
