Palatine Salon Owner Alleges Police Misconduct

Mark Nelson, 47, owner of the Nelson Group, has filed a lawsuit against the Palatine Police Department alleging that officers slammed his head against a brick wall, the Daily Herald reported.

A Palatine salon owner alleges that Palatine police used excessive force during an Aug. 27, 2010 incident, the Daily Herald reported.

Mark Nelson, 47, owner of the , 39 W. Slade St., alleges that officers pushed his head into a brick wall while at the Palatine police station, the newspaper reported. The incident occurred after s observed Nelson making out with a 21-year-old woman in the front window of his salon after Street Fest.

The report quotes Palatine Police Chief John Koziol saying that officers acted within the law and within policy and did nothing wrong.
