Palatine Police Release Results for Labor Day Enforcement

Through the holiday, extra Palatine Police uniformed officers dedicated traffic enforcement saturation patrols, which emphasized the hours of midnight to 3:00 am which have proven to be the deadliest on Illinois.

The Palatine Police Department partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation in their Labor Day Holiday Traffic Safety Crackdown. Through a traffic safety grant, IDOT supplied funds to increase the number of uniformed Palatine Police officers on the roadways enforcing traffic laws over the Labor Day Holiday. 

The focus of this campaign was to get intoxicated motorists off the roads and make sure vehicle occupants are kept safe through the enforcement of seat belt use.

Driving Under the Influence – 3 arrests

Seatbelt Violations – 44 tickets

Suspended Driver’s License – 3 arrests

Uninsured Motorists – 4 tickets

Drug Arrests – 3 arrests

Warrant Arrests – 1 arrest

Felony Unlawful Use of Weapon – 1 arrest (possession of a stolen pistol)

Speeding – 2 tickets

All Other Registration/Moving/Equipment Violations – 13 tickets
