Palatine Police Blotter: Vehicles Stolen, Storage Unit Burglarized

The following information was provided by the Palatine Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 11

Patrick Wozniak, 23, of Palatine, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found about 1 gram of marijuana in a plastic container and about a gram of marijuana in a cigar after traffic stop at about 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of N. Hicks Road and N. Rand Road.

A 1996 yellow Nissan Sentra was stolen sometime between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. from the 1700 block of N. Rose Avenue. A stroller and various tools were in the vehicle at the time of the theft. The vehcile's locks do not work and the keys were left inside.

A theft was reported at , 1400 W. Northwest Highway. The theft occurred between 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. An Apple iPod valued at $200 was taken from an unlocked locker. Also taken was a wallet and a small amount of cash.

May 5 to June 28

A commercial burglary occurred at 1385 E. Dundee Rd. at . Someone entered a storage unit through a hole in drywall that connected to an unoccupied, adjacent storage unit. Taken was a Sony flat screen TV valued at $1,000 and various tools valued at about $300.

June 29

A green 1998 Dodge Caravan was stolen in the 1300 block of N. Goodwin Drive sometime between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. The vehicle was unlocked.
