Criminal Damage to Vehicle

A victim reported that on Dec. 8 between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., damage discovered on a 2002 Acura 3.2 included: four tires slashed, a shattered windshield, rear windshield, driver door window and rear door window. The car was parked in the 1300 block of Inverrary Ln.

Residential Burglary

A victim reported a first floor rear patio door was smashed in on Dec. 5 sometime between 11:15 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. in the 100 N. Greenwood Ave. The offender(s) are believed to have smashed the window, reached through the open glass and opened the door. Several rooms were ransacked, the only items taken were 8 wrapped Christmas gifts that were in the master bedroom.

Theft

A fresh-cut Christmas tree was reportedly stolen sometime between Dec 8 at 5:30 a.m. and Dec. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of N. Rose St. The Christmas tree, valued at $60, was taken from the bed of the victim’s truck, and was meant to be a donation for the American Legion Hall.

Retail theft/Criminal Damage to Property

Employees of Dominicks, located at 615 E. Dundee Rd. reported that on Dec. 4 between 5:30 p.m. and 5:38 p.m., Rogaine and Gillette razors were stolen by a mother/daughter duo. The mother, Jeannette Nicholar, 52, of the 0-100 block of 5th Ave., Arlington Heights, allegedly placed Rogaine in her purse and placed the razors in a purse belonging to her daughter, Nicole, 31, of the same of address. The two were previously told they were not allowed to enter the grocery store. Both women were charged with misdemeanor retail theft and trespass to a building. The Rogaine was valued at $49.99 and Gillette razors valued at $67.96. 

DUI

Lizeth Turk, 27, of the 200 block of N. Carter Ave. was stopped by police at the intersection of Carter and Colfax on Dec. 1 at 4:50 a.m. Turk was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle and having a blood alcohol content of more than .08.

Anselmo Antonio-Mulio, 52, of the 1500 block of Silver Ln., was stopped by police as he travelled southbound in the 1900 block of N. Baldwin Rd. on Dec. 8 at 5:19 p.m. Antonio-Mulio was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, having no driver's license or insurance, and having a blood alcohol content of more than .08.  

Ulisef Oliva, 43, of the 18,000 block of W. Lovers Lane, Grayslake, was stopped by police at Dundee Rd. and Kennedy Rd. on Nov. 29 at 10:45 p.m. Oliva was charged with driving under the influence, failure to signal when required, illegal transportation/possession of alcoholic liquor (driver) and having a blood alcohol content of more than .08.
