Palatine Police blotter: Sept. 12 through Sept. 16

Sept. 12

Stephen V. Smith, 37, of Arlington Heights, was charged with DUI and possession of marijuana. Officers stopped Smith near the intersection of Dundee Road and Frontage Road on Sept. 12. Smith has a court date of Oct. 27.

Sept. 15

Sometime between 7 p.m. Sept. 15 and 7 a.m. Sept. 16 two car burglaries occurred in the 800 block of E. Zinnia Lane. A laptop computer and a GPS device valued at $250 were taken from a white 2003 Chevy. A 2006 white Chevy van also was burglarized. A GPS device valued at $250 was taken from that vehicle.

Sept. 16

Sometime between midnight and 4:30 a.m. a vehicle in the 900 block of Lily Lane was burglarized. A purple wallet valued at $120 was taken from a 2005 white Cadillac Escalade.
