Criminal Damage to Property

An unknown offender(s) spray painted graffiti on the wall of an apartment building and property fence in the 1400 block of N.Winslowe Dr. sometime between Feb. 11 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 12 at 8 a.m.

An uknown offender(s) smashed out a bedroom window with a rock in the 1300 block of N. Turtle Creek Dr. on Feb. 14 sometime between 3 p.m. and 3:49 p.m. 

Theft

An unknown offender(s) took a Huffy bicycle from the Palatine Train Depot, 137 W. Wood St., sometime between Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 14 at 6 a.m. The bike was locked to the bike rack, according to the owner, and is valued at $100. 

An unknown offender(s) removed three mailboxes from residences in the 900 block of Hillside and Glencoe sometime between Feb. 16 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. The silver metal, natural wood and black plastic mailboxes all were removed from their posts. 

An unknown offender(s) removed a black metal mailbox from a residence in the 0-100 block of W. Michigan Ave. sometime between Feb. 17 at 10 p.m. and Feb. 18 at 7 a.m. 

A unknown offender(s) removed a black computer bag containing a Gateway laptop from an unlocked storage closet at Mac's on Slade, 117 W. Slade St., on Feb. 16 sometime between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. The closet was located in a common hallway in the building where the business is located. The computer is valued at $750. 

Attempted Residential Burglary

An unknown offender(s) entered the side yard of a residential property and attempted to pry open the storm door of a home in the 100 block of N. Boynton Dr. sometime between Feb. 11 at 7 a.m. and Feb. 12 at 7 a.m. Damaged was caused to the door, and a security light also was pulled from a socket. Entry was not made.

Driving Under the Influence

Michael F. Aquino, 34, of the 900 block of E. Anderson, was arrested for DUI in the 200 block of S. Plum Grove Rd. on Feb. 15 at 11:03 p.m. Aquino also was charged with speeding. 

Kathleen McArthur, 21, of the 2900 block of Brookview Ln. was arrested for DUI near Northwest Hwy. and Colfax St. on Feb. 16 at 2:05 a.m. McArthur was charged also with DUI with a blood alcohol content of more than .08, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and disobeying a traffic control device. 

Roger Pasek, 23, of the 900 block of N. Glen Oak Dr., Sleepy Hollow, was arrested for DUI in the 200 block of Northwest Hwy. on Feb. 12 at 4:53 a.m. Pasek also was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol content of more than .08, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding.
