We didn't file a police report but my husband's car had its gas syphoned out a couple weeks ago...also in Palatine, in Knollwood.

Looks like they need to beef up patrol on Knollwood. Also If you noticed alot of these occured cause the car doors where left unlocked. Lock your car doors people or keep your things out of site. Times are hard.

Seriously- lock your cars and do not leave your purse, GPS, etc. inside of it in the first place! Some crimes are preventable. (Though gas siphoning isn't so much one of them, unless you have a locking cover).

Along with car break-ins, our neighborhood at Heritage Manor, in Palatine, has seen spray painting damage. I will not even call it graffiti because all it is is damage with a black spray can. I think it is a "graffiti artist" wanna be. Regardless, I now have to look at a damaged side of a townhome across the street from me until the siding is replaced. With the warmer weather out comes the thugs!!!
