Palatine Police Blotter: Patio Furniture Stolen, DUIs, and More

Sept. 18

Wahab Rob Naeem, 27, of Des Plaines, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, and DUI blood alcohol level above .08 after a traffic stop at 3:10 a.m. near the intersection of Rand Road and Dundee Road.

Karen M. Byrnes, 55, of Schaumburg, was charged with DUI, DUI blood alcohol level over .08 after a traffic stop on Plum Grove Road at Wilson Street at 4 a.m.

Two black iron patios chairs were taken from a residence in the 1200 block of N. Prairie Brook Drive. The chairs were valued at $50. The theft occured between Sept. 18 and Sept. 21.

Sept. 19

A 2003 gold Kia Sedona had its front passenger window smashed in the 2000 block of N. Baldwin Way. The incident occurred between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 8 a.m. Sept. 20. Nothing was taken.

Sept. 20

A 2005 white Mitsubishi Lancer was damaged at Arlington Toyota, 2095 N. Rand Rd. sometime between 7 p.m. Sept. 20 to 8 a.m. Sept. 21. The vehicle had a rear window smashed. Nothing was taken.

Sept. 20

A 2007 silver Honda Accord had its rear passenger side window smashed in a parking lot located in the 1300 block of N. Winslowe Drive. Nothing was taken.

Sept. 21

A 1986 Chevorlet Corvette was burglarized at American Muscle Cars, 550 W. Wood St. The vehicle was unlocked. Taken was an Alpine Stereo system valued at $300.

Sept. 23

A fax machine was taken from World Gym, 1546 E. Dundee Rd., sometime between 11:30 p.m. Sept. 23 and 6:30 a.m. Sept. 24.

Sept. 23

A bike valued at $200 was taken from a garage in the 200 block of Baldwin Road sometime between Sept. 23 and Sept. 24. A storage unit of a resident was forced open.

Sept. 24

A 2005 Hummer was damaged in the 900 block of E. Kenilworth Drive sometime between during 9:30 p.m. Sept. 24 and 5 a.m. Sept. 25. The vehicle was scratched on all of its doors and its hatch.
