Palatine Police Blotter: Multiple Car Burglaries and DUI's, Window Shattered

The latest Palatine Police Blotter:

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

The passenger window of a 1997 Lincoln coupe was shattered in the 1000 block of E. Glavin St. sometime between June 12 at 7:30 p.m. and June 13 at 5:30 a.m. It is unknown what was used to shatter the window, and the damage is estimated at $350. 

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

More than $1,300 in tools were taken from an unlocked work van in the 600 block of S. Warren Ave. on June 14 at 10:37 p.m. The stolen items include drills, saws and sanders. 

A MacBook computer ($1,300) two microphones, a Cannon Rebel camera, CD's and computer cables (values unknown) were taken from an unlocked 2012 Nissan sedan in the 1500 block of E. Dundee Rd. on June 15 between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. 

A Garmin GPS ($100) was taken from an unlocked 2002 Ford sedan in the 1000 block of S. Smith St. on June 16 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Driving Under the Influence

Jorge Martinez, 30, of the 1800 block of N. Green Ln. was arrested for DUI on June 16 at 10:38 p.m. on westbound Dundee Rd. at Kennedy Dr. Martinez also was charged with disobeying a traffic signal, having no valid driver's license, uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol. 

Bettina Hulseberg, 27, of the 200 block of N. MacArthur Dr. was arrested for DUI on June 11 at 1:43 a.m. on southbound Hicks Rd. at Route 14. Hulsberg also was charged with squealing her tires and having no insurance. 

Naomi K. Tamura, 39, of the 6000 block of Saddle Ridge Ln., Long Grove, was arrested for DUI on june 12 at 12:22 a.m. on E. Lake Cook Rd. at Hicks Rd. Tamura also was charged with driving under the combined influence of alcohol or other drugs, improper lane usage and having an uninsured motor vehicle. 

Melanie Joy Del Quadro, 27, of the 0-100 block of Windsor, Des Plaines, was arrested for DUI on June 13 at 2:05 a.m. on southbound Smith St. at Slade St. Del Quadro also was charged with failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. 

Tammnie Burnett-Pedretti, 50, of the 800 block of S. Milk Ave., Waukegan, was arrested for DUI on June 13 at 12:50 a.m. at southbound Rand Rd. from Hicks Rd. Burnett-Pedretti also was charged with having a blood alcohol content of more than .08, improper lane usage and failure to signal. 

Jeremiah Anderson, 29, of the 700 block of Rand Grove Ln. was arrested for DUI on June 13 at 11:13 p.m. on northbound Rand Rd. at E. Dundee Rd. Anderson also was charged with improper lighting (one headlamp).
