Palatine Police Blotter: Man Conceals Vodka, Ginger Ale in Pants

Kurt W. Robinson, 39, of Rolling Meadows, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after taking a can of ginger ale valued at 99 cents, a 750 ml bottle of Smirnoff vodka valued at $16.99 and an unknown package of food from Mariano’s, 545 N. Hicks Road, and concealing the items in his pants and leaving the store without paying between 8:20 and 8:30 p.m.

Someone damaged property at two homes in the 700 block of Bon Aire Drive between 12:01 and 8:30 a.m. One home had its Malibu lighting pulled out of the ground and ripped off its electrical wires, as well as a statue knocked over. The other home had six fence pickets pulled out and broken in half, and its Malibu lighting was pulled out of the ground and damaged.
