Palatine Police Blotter: Hong Kong Lite Burglarized, DUIs and More

Erik C. Oettinger, 41, of Hoffman Estates, was charged with DUI after being pulled over in the 1200 block of West Algonquin Road at 12:05 a.m. at a roadside safety check.

Aug. 22

Someone spray painted the vinyl siding of a garage at 1 Renaissance Place sometime between 3 p.m. Aug. 22 and 10 a.m. Aug. 23. A star, the letter "D" and a pitchfork were spray painted.

Donald Jaarats, 44, of Barrington, was charged with DUI after being stopped at 6:42 p.m. in the 1100 block of E. Dundee Road.

, 529 E. Dundee Rd., was burglarized sometime between 9 p.m. Aug. 22 and 10:45 a.m. Aug. 23. A door was pried open and $500 was taken.

Andrew Costanza, 57, of Carol Stream, was charged with DUI after being stopped at 5:56 p.m. near the intersection of Quentin Road and Center Road.

Aug. 23

Peter D. Odonnell, 26, of Palatine, was charged with DUI and improper lane use after being pulled over in the 1700 block of N. Baldwin Road at 12:45 a.m.

Aug. 25

Hector M. Hernandez-Montiel, 27, of Arlington Heights was charged with retail theft. Hernandez-Montiel took razor blades from , 1555 N. Rand Rd. without paying.

Aug. 26

A black 2005 BMW was burglarized sometime between 3 p.m. and 4:03 p.m. in the 100 block of E. Dundee Road. Several items were taken including a handbag valued at $500, a Gucci Wallet valued at $450, about $120 in cash and 20 lip gloss valued at $400.
