Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A victim reported that unknown offender(s) entered their vehicle in the Oak Alley parking lot, 783 N. Quentin Rd., sometime between May 22 at 3:45 p.m. and May 23 at 9:15 a.m., and took an iPad and $130 in U.S. currency. There were no signs of forced entry.

Residential Burglary

Unknown offender(s) entered an unlocked first floor unit's window in the 600 block of E. Constitution Dr. on May 25 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The victim reported that one jar of coins and a laundry card were taken. Values on both items were unknown.

Driving Under the Influence

Anuar Mercado-Rodriguez, 35, of the 1200 block of N. Winslowe Dr. was arrested for DUI on May 25 at 12:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of N. Rand Rd. as he was heading northbound. Mercado-Rodriguez also was charged with having a blood alcohol content of more than .08, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of open alcohol/driver and driving while license is revoked-which makes the DUI a felony. 

Laura Koumandarakis, 45, of the 0-100 block fo Chippewa Ct., Lake Barrington, was arrested for DUI on May 24 at 2:48 a.m. on westbound Route 14 from Auburn Woods to Martin Dr. Koumandarakis also was charged with having a blood alcohol content of more than .08 and improper lane usage. 

Ricardo Carranza, 28, of the 8000 block of Danneil Cir., Long Grove, was arrested for DUI on May 26 at 2:40 a.m. on eastbound Palatine Rd. at Plum Grove Rd. Carranza also was charged with having a blood alcohol content of more than .08 and improper lane usage.
