Criminal Damage to Property

A resident living in the 1300 block of Inverrary Ln. was awoken on March 16 at 1:30 a.m. by a loud noise. Later, the resident discovered a first floor storm window was shattered by a rock. Damage estimates were not immediately available.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

The driver's side window of a white 1992 Honda coupe was smashed in the 700 block of E. Constitutuion Dr. sometime between March 12 at 11:30 p.m. and March 13 at 11 p.m. The in-dash stereo was removed. Loss estimates were not immediately available.

All four doors of a white 2008 Ford Truck were removed in the 500 block of Vermont St. sometime between March 16 at 11:30 p.m. and March 18 at 8:15 a.m. The interior of the truck also was taken, in addition to two small lawn mower engines and an air compressor valued at $2,000. 

Residential Burglary/Attempted Burglary

An unknown offender forced entry to the rear door of an apartment building in the 0-100 block of W. Johnson sometime between March 15 at 5:30 p.m. and March 16 at 1:30 a.m. The back door of an apartment was also breached, and taken was a Samsung flat screen TV, valued at $600 and $200 in U.S. currency. 

An unknown offender attempted to gain entry to an apartment by opening a kitchen window in the 1300 block of Winslowe Dr. sometime between March 15 at 6 a.m. and March 17 at 1:45 a.m. 

Driving Under the Influence

Thomas Reardon, 55, of the 0-100 block of S. Roberts Rd., Inverness, was arrested at Station St. and Brockway St. on March 15 at 11:50 p.m. Reardon was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, failure to signal and no insurance. 

Susan Barry, 40, of the 900 block of N. Countryside Dr., was arrested at Wood St. and Plum Grove Rd. on March 13 at 11:01 p.m. Barry was charged with DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol content of more than .08. 

Carol Buck, 57, of the 600 block of N. Lakeside Dr., was arrested at westbound Northwest Hwy. at Auburn Woods Dr. on March 17 at 12:57 a.m. Buck was charged with DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol content of more than .08 and improper lane usage. 

Arturo Morales, Jr., 19, of the 3500 block of Salem Ct., Island Lake, was arrested near Dundee Rd. and Smith St. on March 17 at 1:30 a.m. Morales was charged with DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol content of more than .08 and improper lane usage.
