Palatine Police Blotter: DUI, Purse Theft

The Palatine Police Department's arrest blotter through Jan. 10.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Palatine Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

DUI

  • Sarah J. Cohen, 54, of the 700 block of N. Maple Ave., was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on Jan. 9 at the 800 west block of westbound Northwest Hwy. Charges included DUI, BAC over .08, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
  • Robert C. Mueller, 56, of the 2000 block of N. Kennicott, in Arlington Heights, was arrested at 12:16 a.m. on Jan. 6 at the 900 block of eastbound Dundee Road. Charges included DUI, BAC over .08 and obedience to a police officer.
  • Suzanne B. Wojtasik, 21, of the 200 block of S. Rammer, Arlington Heights, was arrested at 4 a.m. on Jan. 4 on eastbound Colfax at N. Bothwell. Charges included DUI, disobeyed traffic controlled device, operating uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Theft of Mislaid Property

  • Between 2:30 a.m. and 3:!5 a.m. on Jan. 10, at Gators at 1719 N. Rand Rd., a customer reported her purse missing from a bar stool. The purse was placed on the stool by the victim, and was later missing. The purse (unknown value) contained various credit cards, identification cards, a white Samsung Galaxy S3 smart phone (unknown value) and $20 in cash.
