Palatine Police Blotter: Car Burglary Nets Golf Clubs
The following information was provided by the Palatine Police Department. When an arrest is referenced it should not be considered a conviction.
Golf Clubs Taken from Audi
A 2012 Audi SUV was burglarized in the 900 block of S. Stonehedge on Aug. 17 or Aug. 18. Taken from the vehicle was a full set of Taylor Made golf clubs, valued at $800, a Taylor Made driver valued at $400, a Taylor Made wood valued at $300, two golf wedges valued at $400, a Titleist wedge valued at $200, an Odessey putter valued at $250, a black golf bag valued at $200 and a Garmin GPS golf watch valued at $250.
Tires Slashed, Window Smashed
Two vehicles were damaged in the 1100 block of N. Sterling sometime between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 11 and 6:51 a.m. Aug. 12. A 1998 Jeep had its rear passenger window smashed. Also, a 2010 Nissan SUV had all four of its tires slashed.
Yard Lamp Damaged
Someone removed a piece of siding from a home and used it to smash two panes of glass on a yard lamp in the 100 block of E. Russet Way on Aug. 16 or Aug. 17.
Window Smashed, Car Burglarized
The front passenger window of a 2012 Fiat was smashed in a parking lot in the 1200 block of W. Sterling on Aug. 14. Taken from the vehicle was a black nylon wallet which contained credit cards, a driver's license, and less than $100 cash. The wallet was on the center console.
DUI
Carson William Gormley, 23, of Fenton, Mich., was charged with DUI, disobeying a stop sign and illegal transportation of liquor on Aug. 17 after a traffic stop at Sterling Avenue and Countryside Drive.
