Palatine Police Blotter: American Flag and Flag Pole Stolen

July 6
Juan Gonzalez-Carranza, 31, of Mundelein, was charged with DUI. Palatine police officers responded to a well-being check regarding a motorist at 9:03 p.m. Officers located the motorist in a parking lot in the 1200 block of E. Dundee Road.

A resident reported an incident of vandalism in the 400 block of S. Abbey Lane. Sometime between 9:25 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. the resident heard a loud explosion. The resident went outside and found his mailbox had been blown up.

A resident reported that a theft occurred between 1:05 a.m. and 1:19 a.m. in the 500 block of Echo Lane. An American flag and a 15 foot high flag pole were taken.

A residential burglary was reported in the 2200 block of Bayside Drive. An apartment was entered through an unlocked front door. A Sony Vaio laptop, a cell phone valued at $400, and a bottle of Haiku perfume valued at $90 was taken.
