Palatine Police Blotter: $1,000 in Electronics, Condiments Stolen from Dominick's

The latest Palatine Police Blotter:

Residential Burglary

Unknown offender(s) entered a home in the 900 block of S. Willow Walk on May 28 between 7:09 p.m. and 11:53 p.m. and took jewelry (unknown value). A garage door pry took was used to open the door through the garage to gain entrance. 

Unknown offender(s) entered a home in the Dundee Quarter Complex sometime between June 1 at 10:30 p.m. and June 2 at 7 p.m. and took a 50-inch Sanyo plasma TV ($600), 32-inch LCD Element TV ($260), a gold ring ($219) and a dvd player ($20). The victim told police the a window was unlocked, which may have been the area of entry. 

Theft

A victim reported a Chase Durer Special Forces watch ($700) was taken from an unlocked locker at Midtown Athletic Club, 1760 N. Hicks on May 20. The victim reported the theft to police on June 1. 

Retail Theft

Saeed Kayvon, 32, of the 1200 block of Pine Valley Dr., Schaumburg, was arrested for misdemeanor Retail Theft on June 1 at 5:36 p.m. for taking  a marinade sauce and Worcestershire sauce (total value $7.44) from Dominick's, 720 W. Euclid Avenue, without paying for the items. Loss prevention observed the theft.

Driving Under the Influence

Thomas J. Vavrinek, 26, of the 1000 block of Palatine Road, was arrested on June 3 at 1:34 a.m. at the 1000 block of westbound Palatine Road for DUI. Vavrinek also was charged with driving with an expired license and failure to signal. 

Przemyslaw Niezgoda, 31, of the 1000 block of Golfhurst Avenue, Mt. Prospect, was arrested on June 1 at 10:57 p.m. at eastbound Northwest Highway near the Route 53 northbound entrance ramp, and charged with DUI and use of unsafe tires. One of the tires he was driving on was flat. 

Pamela Little, 50, of the 200 block of Fairview, Arlington Heights, was arrested on May 26 at 9:34 p.m. at southbound Hicks Road in 600 N. block. She was charged with DUI, having a blood alcohol content of more than .08 and improper lane usage.
