Palatine Man Accused of Soliciting Sex From Cop Posing as Boy, 14

A 26-year-old Palatine man faces criminal charges after he solicited sex online from an undercover Lake County sheriff's detective who was posing as a 14-year-old boy, according to the Daily Herald. 

Ivan V. Dimitrov, of the 0 to 100 block of West King Henry Court, was taken into custody after arranging a meeting at a park near Grayslake, the Daily Herald reports. He originally posted an ad online stating he was looking for a companion.

He told detectives he planned to meet the boy for "sexual activities," according to the Chicago Sun-Times. 

He is charged with three counts of indecent solicitation of a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
