UPDATED: Palatine Flight Attendant Claims No Knowledge of Gun

Sheila A. Schultz of the 1200 block of N. Grove Avenue was in court Saturday, and her attorney David Studenroth of Park Ridge said she was not aware of the fully loaded .22 in her carry-on bag, the Daily Herald reports.

In a Chicago courtroom Saturday, David Studenroth, the Park Ridge attorney for Palatine resident and flight attendant Sheila Schultz stated she had no knowledge the gun was in her carry-on bag, the Daily Herald reports.

The gun was a .22 caliber revolver and was fully loaded, according to the Daily Herald. Schultz's family posted $1,000 bond and she will be back in court November 30.

Sheila A. Schultz, 65, of the 1200 block of N. Grove Avenue was arrested Friday at O'Hare airport for attempting to travel with a gun in her carry-on bag, according to the Daily Herald.

The arrest happened during a routine screening, the Daily Herald reports. Schultz is charged with boarding an aircraft with a weapon, a felony, and a misdemeanor count of possessing a firearm without a valid FOID card.
