Palatine Drug Take-Back Event Yields 202 Pounds of Meds

The next National Prescription Drug Take-Back event will be held in the fall.

On April 28, the Palatine Police Department once again partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) by participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Project.

The Palatine Police Department would like to thank everyone who took the time to drop-off expired/unused prescription medication at the new police headquarters.  The success of this program rests solely on the public’s participation and support and because of that support, 202 pounds of prescription medication was turned in for destruction, a 48 percent increase over the last collection day.

The Palatine Police Department looks forward to partnering with the public, when we hold our next National Prescription Drug Take-Back Project Day in the fall.
