Some time between 1 a.m. and 10:30 p.m., Oct. 27, in the 400 block of N. Bayside Dr., someone took a laptop valued at $1,400.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
Some time between 10 p.m., Oct. 26, and noon, Oct. 27, in the 1100 block of W. Palatine Rd., an unknown offender took a money clip valued at $30, with various credit cards and identification from a victim’s unlocked 2005 Mazda.
Some time between 9 p.m., Oct. 25, and 5 a.m., Oct. 26, in the 300 block of E. Carpenter Dr., an unknown offender took a pair of Sony headphones of an unknown value, an iPod Touch with an unknown value, a Cannon camera lens valued at $500 and a pocket knife of an unknown value from a victim’s unlocked 2005 Scion.
Robert W. Hines, Jr., 25, of the 1200 block of N. Sterling Ave., was charged Oct. 26, with burglary to a motor vehicle in the 1200 block of N. Sterling. Police say he allegedly entered the victim’s 2000 Kia and took a pair of antique binoculars valued at $1,000. The property was recovered.
Driving Under the Influence
Joanna Krezesinska, 28, of the 1400 block of N. Winslow Dr., was charged at 1:05 a.m., Oct. 23, as she was westbound in the 200 block of E. Dundee Road, with driving under the influence, BAC over .08, improper lane usage and uninsured motor vehicle.
William A. Keeler, 22, of the 26900 block of W. Lakeview, Lake Barrington, was charged at 12:01 a.m., Oct. 23 on westbound Dundee Road with driving under the influence, BAC over 08, improper lane usage, no headlights when required and uninsured motor vehicle.
Williams J. Mauch II, 53, of the 500 block of Northwest Highway, was charged at 7:05 p.m., Oct. 27, with driving under the influence and BAC over .08. Officers responded to a 911 call to check on a person slumped over the steering wheel of a car, which was facing eastbound in a parking lot in the 500 block of W. Northwest Highway.
