No One Injured in Palatine Gas Station Fire

No one was injured in a fire in the back room of the Speedway gas station at 404 E. Dundee Road.

No one was injured in a fire that started in the backroom of the SuperAmerica gas station at 404 E. Dundee Road.

The Palatine fire department received the call at about 1:53 p.m. Sunday and responded within three minutes. Firefighters found smoke in the back storage room of the gas station. The customers and staff already had evacuated.

The gas station's sprinkler system had been activated and was helping to control the fire. The fire department also ran a hose line to attack the fire and had the fire under control in less than 10 minutes.

The Arlington Heights Fire Department also responded to the call. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
