Motorcycle Crash Shut Down 53 in Palatine

The Daily Herald reports a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Palatine shut down traffic on southbound 53 on Monday.

A motorcycle crash in Palatine shut down the southbound lanes on Route 53 south of Lake-Cook Road for about 30 minutes at 4:20 p.m. on Monday.

According to the Daily Herald, a Wheeling man driving a motorcycle at a high speed down Route 53 crashed in a single-vehicle accident in Palatine.

The man was taken to Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights with nonlife-threatening injuries. The Daily Herald reports the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
