Strong Man Commits Dumb Crime

A Des Plaines man appeared in Rolling Meadows courthouse after he was charged with attacking someone using an exercise dumbbell during a home invasion.

A Wilmette resident told police he was the victim of a battery at a Fresh Market grocery store following a traffic dispute. The Wilmette resident gave someone an offensive hand gesture during a traffic dispute on his way to Fresh Market. The Wilmette resident was followed into the store and was slapped on the shoulder. Since the offender apologized, the Wilmette man decided not to file a complaint.

A Glenview resident told police someone called from “Publisher’s Clearing House” notifying them of a prize, but to secure the winnings, the resident had to purchase two, $500.00 gift cards.

Police Investigate Local Monarchs and Redheads

Two rolls of burning toilet paper were found in a Palatine. The fire was extinguished, but a plunger and baby changing station were burned.

Walker Stealer

A 46-year-old man in Niles was summoned by police after leaving a store without paying for a high-end walker.

Police Are Hot On The Trailer

A contractor from Niles in a dispute with a client from Arlington Heights called police because the Niles man's trailer was stolen from his driveway, and the Arlington Heights man said the trailer would return when the dispute is settled.

A Wilmette woman told police someone has been taking her copy of TV Weekly Magazine from her driveway.
