Got Drugs? Palatine Wants Them
Palatine is participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day project Oct. 29
The is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) by participating in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day project.
The project is anonymous, free and provides citizens a safe avenue to get rid of unwanted prescription medications, a press release from the department states.
On Saturday Oct. 29, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., citizens are encouraged to stop by the Palatine Police Department located at 200 E. Wood St. to discard unwanted prescription medications. The collection container is located downstairs in the front lobby of the police department. If you plan on bringing medication, the police ask that these two easy rules are followed:

- Place all medication containers inside clear zip-lock bags.
- No liquid products, intravenous solutions or syringes will be accepted.
