Search and rescue efforts for the 37-year-old Florida man who was swallowed by a sinkhole have been called off. Demolition of neighboring homes deemed uninhabitable and dangerous will now begin.

The situation is tense in Seffner, Florida in the aftermath of a 37-year-old Florida man being sucked in by a sinkhole while in his bedroom.
On Thursday, Jeff Bush went down the hole as the earth opened up below his home, then on Friday, he was presumed dead, the Huffington Post reports.

Now, investigators are gingerly testing the area around the sinkhole under the home, USA Today reports, and are fearful the whole structure could eventually be sucked down into the hole.
Meanwhile, the family simply wants Bush's body retrieved, but due to danger, that sadly hasn't been able to happen yet, USA Today reports.
