Area Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Patrick Lulling of Arlington Heights was killed in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Woodstock.

An Arlington Heights Park District employee died Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash in Woodstock, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

Patrick J. Lulling, 54, of Arlington Heights died after his motorcycle collided with a van at the intersection of Route 14 and Dean Street in Woodstock, according to the Northwest Herald.

The driver of the van, Glen L. Powers, was transported to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was cited with failure to yield while turning left at an intersection, according to the Northwest Herald.

Lulling, who joined the park district in 2000, was a general trades worker who did painting, cement and carpentry work for the park district, according to the Chicago Tribune. 

Lulling was returning from a Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota, at the time of the accident and was not wearing a motorcycle helmet, according to the Chicago Tribune.
