1 in Custody, 1 in Critical Condition Following Palatine Bar Fight
A 35-year-old Palatine man has been charged with aggravated battery after police said he punched a another man outside a Palatine bar Friday night, seriously injuring the victim, according to the Chicago Tribune.
A $75,000 bond was set Monday for Michael Platt of the 200 block of West Wilson Street who is accused of throwing the punch that knocked the 26-year-old victim to the ground, according to the article.
The altercation broke out shortly after 11:30 p.m. Friday at Pops Bar and Grill, 19 N. Bothwell St., according to the Daily Herald.
The victim was in critical condition Monday at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge and had underwent a surgery to "relieve bleeding in the brain," the Chicago Tribune reports.
