Fashion Friday: Layer it On!

Layering has become a year round trend but most popular now as we strive to stay warm and comfortable during the Chicagoland winter months.

Oh the weather outside is frightful....but layering is so delightful!  Layering has become a year round trend but most popular now as we strive to stay warm and comfortable during the Chicagoland winter months.

Layering can be slimming as well as  fun to match patterns, textures, colors and lengths.

Two piece sweaters or blouses, a shirt and sweater , or the on trend shirt and jacket menswear style work. Jeans, or leggings can be layered with boots then layered with a warm and fashionable boot cuff. Flared  longer peplum jackets and sweaters are perfectly layered over another sweater, tunics, and skinny jeans and leggings.

Layering of colors or an accent piece that provides a pop of color add personality to your look.

Always finish your look with some great accessories.  Big tote style bags are in as are overesized coats in all shapes and sizes. Scarves can add warmth and style to even a plain blouse or sweater. Layer your neclaces with multiple lengths of strands and designs. Throw on a big chunky bracelet, or a wristful of bangles.

Have fun with your wardrobe and accessories and  let your personality shine thru.
