Palatine Park District Tennis Programs

Palatine Park District offers the first session of Summer Outdoor Tennis Programs beginning June 10,  2013. Additional sessions are also offered throughout the summer. Youth and adult tennis programs are directed by the Midwest Tennis Programs and feature QuickStart Tennis, utilizing smaller tennis rackets, lower pressurized tennis balls, and reduced sized court areas.  The QuickStart tennis method permits children to learn to play actual games at an early age on an appropriately sized court area utilizing tennis strokes, footwork, and strategies that will apply to the larger full court.

Palatine tennis programs emphasize the 4 F’s of fun, fitness, fundamentals and friendship and offer professional tennis instruction at a fraction of the rates charged by private clubs and resorts.   The programs offered include group lessons, youth and adult tennis camps, and private and semi-private lessons for adults and youth at various skill levels.

Midwest Tennis Programs founder Frank Sacks is a certified USPTA/ PTR tennis professional and former Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at Northeastern Illinois University and Niles West and Niles North High Schools.  Mr. Sacks has conducted quality tennis programs in the Chicago suburbs for over 30 years and was named a national Grassroots Tennis Hero in 2006 by the United States Tennis Association.

Registration is available online at www.palatineparks.org.  For more information on tennis camps, visit www.palatineparks.org or contact Todd Ranum at 847-496-6238 or tranum@palatineparks.org

The mission of Palatine Park District is to provide a variety of safe, enjoyable and affordable parks and recreation facilities and activities that will enhance the quality of life by promoting good health and well-being for all residents and visitors of the Palatine Park District.
