Broadway Boot Camp is a two week intensive summer program that provides young and aspiring actors with the opportunity to work on a production especially adapted for 11 to 18 year olds. This year's production, entitled "Shakespeare Goes to Gravel Gulch or... The Villain Drove a Bard Bargain," was performed at 11:30am on June 28 at Palatine Park District's Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center.
The show included a large cast of crazy characters, would-be outlaws, and some stranded performing artists providing the audience with a wild west of a time. Program instructors are Julie Price and Tamara Kist. For additional photographs from the show, visit www.facebook.com/palatineparks.
Other upcoming arts opportunities for young people include Caught In The Act Youth Theater, Singin' In The Sun, Summer Dance Camp, and Camp Art-Rageous.
