Palatine Historical Society Presents History Crawl and Fall Meetings

The Palatine Historical Society is dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of local history and memorabilia. This fall, in line with this mission, they will be presenting a History Crawl and two monthly programs.

The annual History Crawl will be held on Friday, September 6 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, beginning at the corner of Palatine Road and Plum Grove Road in downtown Palatine. Participants will then be led through town stopping at several places of historical significance in the village. This year’s stops include all new locations, with stories told by costumed actors and docents who will share the history of each location, the business establishments that resided there, and the events that took place. The crawl will end at Lamplighter’s Inn for some light refreshments. Tickets are available through Friday, September 6 at the Clayson House Museum, 224 E. Palatine Road, and at the Community Center, 250 E. Wood Street for $10. Tickets can also be purchased at the crawl starting point on September 6 for $15.
