Free Disc Golf Clinic on Saturday, July 20

The Disc Golf Course at Margreth Riemer Reservoir has been expanded to 18 holes. On July 20, a Free Disc Golf Clinic will be held on the course. This clinic is designed for those new to disc golf tournaments or those who would like some formal instruction. The free clinic will be held on Saturday, July 20 at 4:30pm and will include instruction on basic techniques, strategies, and tournament rules. Pre-registration for the clinic is not required but those who do register in advance will receive a free Palatine Park District mini-disk. Registration can be completed online at www.palatineparks.org.

Instructing this Saturday’s free clinic is Professional Disc Golf Association Pro Brian Earhart. Twenty-two year old Brian Earhart is a second year captain of the Illinois State University's men's ultimate disc team. He was also the 2012 PDGA Intern at the International Disc Golf Center, in Appling ,Georgia, where his responsibilities included event management/course design. Brian is a sponsored professional, set to play in the professional disc golf world championships in august. He has a PDGA rating of 986. His top tournament finishes include:
