Palatine Park District Offers a Wide Variety of Affordable Fitness Activities

Palatine Park District offers many affordable fitness options to the community.

As a community organization with a long and strong history of providing parks and recreation to the Palatine area, we are excited to have been nominated in the Palatine Patch “Best Place to Work Out in Palatine” poll. We would like to congratulate the Buehler YMCA for winning the poll; they are an amazing organization that also has a long history of serving the families of the Palatine community. We would like to thank those who voted for PPD in the poll and those who left some amazing comments on the Palatine Patch site.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Palatine Park District’s fitness offerings, here is a taste of all we provide to meet your fitness and wellness needs. We hope that you will try one of these options this summer!

The Community Fitness Center located at 250 E. Wood Street offers a traditional fitness environment for your workout.  With a variety of cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, ellipticals and bikes along with resistance equipment and free weights, you can fit in your workout in the heart of town.  Rates for the fitness center are very affordable, ranging from $115 for an annual pass for students and seniors to just $231 for an annual pass for two family members.  With weekday hours of 6am to 10pm and hours on Saturday from 7am to 5pm and on Sunday from 7am to 3pm, you are sure to be able to find the time to get in a workout. If you need a little help to get your program going, you can always set up an appointment with one of our personal trainers or get started with a fitness assessment.
